We are extremely proud of the fact that after becoming available on the web in November 2004, Tomahawk is now being used in at least 51 different countries. Home users, churches, business interests and colleges in Australia, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, The Netherlands, United States, South Africa, New Zealand, Canada, Singapore and many others use Tomahawk for a variety of tasks. A lot of colleges have informed us that they use Tomahawk as a student aid. The University of Melbourne in Austrailia even requested permission to distribute the freeware version of Tomahawk to its 9,000 students.

Tomahawk proves its endurance as one of the most popular alternatives for creating PDF files. In May 2007, Tomahawk will appear on its 8th magazine CD cover mount!

Computer Hoy - Spain

In an email from Computer Hoy ("Computer Today") magazine:

Computer Hoy is the best selling computer magazine in Spain. Published every two weeks, it's been more than 7 years since our launch and, in order to complete the contents offered to our readers, we publish quarterly a special issue called CD Práctico, which includes a special CD-ROM with the best demo, freeware and shareware programs available.

We plan to publish this issue and CD in Computer Hoy's CD Práctico N.19, which will be on sale on May with a planned circulation is 60.000 issues. That issue will also include several editorial pages explaining how to use most of the selected programs.

Since yours is one of the chosen applications, we'd like to get your permission so we can include Tomahawk in this CD-ROM.....

In an email from J. Schrepfer:

Dear Sirs,

congratulation on your easy to use Tomahawk Gold PDF-Tool. I had the luck to use it for converting html-pages into PDF-documents. Your tool fited my requirements best since it offers possibility to edit the document prior to converting it (all other tools I tried to use produced cut diagrams and tables!)...

Comment found on Free Download Manager:

Best for Least
Tomahawk gives you the most functionality and least headaches for the least cash and energy outlay. say good-bye to the wanna-bees. that is 'axe-em" out.

In an email from Carlito Galdos:

I accidentally stumbled upon your website while trying to find a program that would help me with chores for my club. The funny thing is that the problem arose because I have Corel Wordperfect Office X3 -- I needed to import a PDF file where we had the names, addresses, phone numbers, faxes, etc.. But, I kept getting an error message that said it could not open the file because it was either encrypted or corrupted....
So here I am. I wonder if your Tomahawk can help me -- I already noticed that it opened up the PDF file without any problem...

In an email from Michael Santoro at ProAuthors

Your program is one of the best kept secrets on the net today! Let’s try to change that...

Comments found on the PortableFreeware site: (discussion on the freeware version - Tomahawk PDF+)

BigD: A welcome addition to the collection, particularly with its ability to handle tables. Seems to work well and is fast loading from a USB flash drive too.

B. Dayton: For it's size, this is one quick app with quite a few features. Honestly, I like AbiWord but I might just get rid of it and keep Tomahawk, since I don't do much work with things that have to be .doc

Cabal: Does it do something OpenOffice can't?

Tiger: Regarding OpenOffice - um, size of TomaHawk can't be beat!

In an email from J. Ebbs:

The program is impressive (to say the least)!...

From the Deccan Herald:

Tomahawk PDF+

This feature-rich "care ware" application for the Windows platform allows documents to be produced and saved in a number of formats, including rich text; exported as HTML; or converted to PDF. Its capabilities include: table creation ( tables within tables), background image support, sophisticated font control for character scaling, offset and horizontal scaling, full justification, spell check (from a dozen downloadable dictionaries, including legal, medical and technical), thesaurus, print function with a preview, page setup ( includes a handy header and footer ), image manager for editing and special effects, thumbnail wizard for creating HTML pages, and extraction of text and images from PDF files. TomahawkPDF will not open PDF files directly, for that Adobe Acrobat Reader can be used.....

PRÁCTICO Y SENCILLO: RESULTADO GENIAL
de Jabai 23 de Marzo del 2005

Sobre versión: 2.6.0.0
Ha sido toda una sorpresa. Siempre que he buscado programas gratuitos para crear .pdf solo he encontrado
No

Tomahawk PDF+ v 2.7 - Software of the Month

With the buzz surrounding the merger of Macromedia and Adobe, the widely used Portable Document Format is often the first association which springs to mind in conjunction with Adobe. One of the most feature-rich PDF creation programs is the "care ware" application "Tomahawk" for the Windows platform, from Native Winds Software.

This comfortably designed program with a familiar interface that's easy to use, allows documents to be produced and saved in a number of formats, including rich text; exported as HTML; or converted to PDF. ...........While this application's primary function is the creation of PDF files, its practicality as a full-featured word processing or HTML editor should not be overlooked. Easy to use, with extensive capabilities, this well-designed program may fulfill the requirements of a broad range of users.

In an email from GTK - Netherlands

Long time i'm looking around for good DOC - PDF converter, but with special requests: the page color must be changed.

There are some tools available, but no one can do it. Only Tomahawk can do it!
My big thanks, now i can use it for my simple PDF presentations. I made some texts in Word 2000 and want put it on screen. But i don't want white background. This program is my answer.

Tomahawk is almost perfect. There are only two problems with the program:

- Free moving image is not possible (text wrapping around image, like in Word)
Should very nice if it's added to Tomahawk.

- No real WYSIWYG mode. The 'print-look' mode in Word is good, but if i want good PDF pages, such mode is needed in Tomahawk. The page review is only for printing. I want also PDF review mode while editing. I can easily check if the texts are good placed in de pages, and no troubles with big pictures / tables. On the fly in Tomahawk.
You can add extra view mode to Tomahawk, if you can.
The view mode now is little hard for beginners to keep pages good balanced. Of course margins solves some problems, but if i want real 100% colored pages, then i don't want white borders, caused by margin settings.

The second request is most important, the first image request is second place.
If you can add both requests, then your Tomahawk is the best program in the world, especially for beginners.

But again, thank you very much for beautiful program.

In an email from S. Bharathan

Hi there,

I am impressed with the Tomahawk PDF+ editor that wonderfully solved my problem. We have a requirement to produce output in RTF programmatically by reading XML data file and applying the template in RTF format. Every time we make a change to the RTF file using MS Word, our parser would throw errors simply because MS Word includes additional characters for reasons known to them.

With your editor, it was a piece of cake. We do not encounter such problems. We are keenly thinking on using your editor permanently....

Jack,

I just discovered your fine software and I am very impressed. I haven't created anything with it other than a few test pages, but I like how it does things.

I am a college librarian and maintain the library web site and I am interested in designing some pages for our web site using Tomahawk. We are a small state college (approx 3000 students), and are non-profit......

In an email from ML Perry

Great little program. Just what I've been wanting - a little something to convert files to PDF without all the extras and costs that come with Adobe! Thanks ever so much.

In an email from C. Jarvis

Hi,

Absolutely brilliant and just what we were looking for as we couldn't afford the Adobe programme. My wife is involved in Girl Guiding and other voluntary groups and it will mean she can now communicate ii a universal form.....
